AI Limitations

Understanding what AI analysis does not do is as important as knowing what it does.

  • AI results are suggestions, not decisions. Extracted information must be reviewed and confirmed by a person before SureSign treats it as current data for a contract or trade package.
  • AI does not make legal or contractual determinations. It cannot tell you whether a clause is enforceable, favourable, or compliant with the underlying contract form — it summarises and extracts what is written in the document.
  • Quality depends on the source document. A clean, text-based PDF or Word document gives better results than a poor-quality scan.
  • One analysis at a time per record. You cannot run two analyses simultaneously on the same contract or trade package.
  • Hourly limits apply. There is a limit on how many analyses you can start per hour; exceeding it means waiting before trying again.
  • Cancelling a running analysis may still be billed. If you cancel an analysis after it has already started processing, SureSign tells you the in-progress usage may still be charged — cancelling before it starts processing is free.
  • Confirmed data can be overwritten by a later confirmed analysis, not automatically merged with it — always check the overwrite warning before confirming a new analysis over an existing one.
  • The general AI Assistant chat is a separate feature from contract/ subcontract analysis and does not read or write structured contract data.
