Navigating SureSign

SureSign has two distinct areas depending on your role: the tenant workspace (for day-to-day project work) and a separate platform administration area for accounts with broader administrative access.

Tenant workspace (all roles)

The left-hand sidebar is organised into:

  • Dashboard — your summary view.
  • Workspace — Projects, Commercial (cross-project view), Site Admin, Documents (organisation-wide library).
  • Tools — Reports, AI Assistant, Team, Help.

The sidebar footer has a profile menu with Settings, a light/dark theme toggle, and Sign out.

No notification bell in the tenant workspace

The notification bell is not currently shown in the tenant workspace. If you are a Client user, check the Overview page of a project or your Reports for recent activity instead.

Project workspace

Opening a project shows a project-specific sidebar with:

  • Overview — project summary and activity feed.
  • Contract group — Contracts, Commercial, Variations, Notices, Programme, Delay & EOT, Risk Register.
  • Communications group — RFIs, Meetings.
  • Delivery group — QA Reports, Snagging, Site Reports, Delivery Documents, Closeout.
  • Disputes group — Adjudication (if enabled for your organisation).
  • Documents and Calendar (always shown at the bottom of the project menu).

Trade packages (subcontract work packages) are opened from within a project and have their own workspace with tabs: Overview, Commercial, Programme, Delay & EOT, Compliance, Documents, AI Analysis, and Activity.

Platform administration

Accounts with broader administrative access sign in to a separate administration area rather than the tenant dashboard. Platform administration is not covered in this guide — if you need an administrative action performed, contact your organisation's administrator.

Project detail pages and your own Settings are shared between the tenant workspace and the administration area, so administrator accounts can still open and work inside a project the same way a Client user would.

Common interface patterns

  • Status pills — coloured badges showing the current state of a record (for example Draft, Submitted, Certified). See Status Reference for what each one means per module.
  • Create / Edit modals — most records are created and edited in a pop-up form rather than a separate page.
  • Tabs — used within Commercial, trade package workspaces, and Delay & EOT to group related record types.
  • Filters and search — most list pages offer a search box and one or more status/category filters above the table.
  • Toast messages — brief confirmation or error messages appear at the corner of the screen after an action (for example "Contract created" or "Upload failed. Please try again.").

If a page or project will not open

If you try to open a project (or another record) that does not exist, or that you do not have access to, SureSign shows the same "not found" style page either way. This is deliberate: it does not tell you whether the record exists elsewhere. If you believe you should have access, contact your organisation's administrator.
