Pay Less Notice Process

Purpose

Formally state that you intend to pay less than the notified sum, and why.

Prerequisites

An existing payment application (and usually a payment notice already issued against it).

Role required

Super Admin or Admin.

Steps

  1. Open the payment application.
  2. Select Issue Pay Less Notice.
  3. Confirm the notice date and notified sum (pre-filled from the latest payment notice where one exists).
  4. Enter the total deductions and the grounds/basis for them.
  5. Enter who is issuing it, and confirm.

Expected result

The application's status becomes PLN Issued, and a Pay Less Notice PDF is generated automatically.

SureSign will let you issue a pay less notice after its calculated deadline has passed — it does not block a late notice. Late notices can have serious contractual consequences under your contract, so check your contract's own requirements before issuing, especially if the calendar shows the deadline as already overdue.

Common mistakes

  • Issuing without clear grounds recorded — record the basis for the deduction clearly, since this is a formal notice.

Continue the application through to certification if not already done, and watch the Calendar for the final date for payment.
