Consultancy

SureSign Consultancy connects you with an experienced construction professional for a private consultation — not an AI chatbot, a real person. Use it to talk through a payment application, a notice, a variation, an extension of time, or any general contract administration question for your project.

Consultancy is not legal representation, dispute resolution, or adjudication services. If your matter has escalated into a formal dispute, see SureSign Adjudication.

Booking a consultation

As a SureSign customer

  1. Go to Consultancy in the sidebar.
  2. Select Book a Consultation.
  3. Choose a consultation type, a date and time, and your timezone.
  4. Describe your enquiry — a short title and description, plus optional project stage, contract form (for example NEC, JCT, FIDIC), and preferred outcome. This helps the consultant prepare.
  5. Submit. You'll receive an email confirming your consultation, with a calendar invite attached.

Your consultations are listed under Consultancy, where you can view the details of any consultation or cancel one that hasn't happened yet.

Without a SureSign account

Visit the Consultancy page on the SureSign website. Choose a consultation, pick a time, and complete the short enquiry form — no account required. Your confirmation email includes a link you can use to cancel or reschedule, if you booked in time for that to still be available, and a link to a page where you can check your consultation's status, join by Google Meet when it's time, and download a calendar invite — all without creating an account.

Available consultations

The consultations on offer (name, duration, and price) are configured by SureSign and may change — the booking page always shows the current list. A short Quick Consultation is typically available as a low-cost introduction to Consultancy, intended to help you decide whether a longer, paid consultation would be useful — it does not include a detailed document review or a written report.

What to expect

  • If your consultation is held over a video call, you'll receive an email once the Google Meet link is ready, with a "Join Google Meet" button — you can also join from your consultation's detail page (or, without an account, the link in your confirmation email).
  • The consultant will discuss your enquiry during the time you booked.
  • Your consultation's status (for example confirmed, completed, or cancelled) is shown on its detail page and updates automatically as it progresses — you don't need to do anything to move it along.
  • Once your consultation is complete, you'll receive a short email thanking you and letting you know a written summary is being prepared.
  • After the consultation, if your consultant writes up a summary, it will appear on your consultation's detail page and you'll receive an email with a secure link to view it — without an account, that link opens a dedicated summary page; no sign-in required. Not every consultation gets a written summary — a short Quick Consultation, for example, typically won't.
  • If your consultation relates to a specific project, your consultant may link it to that project internally for their own reference. This is something your consultant manages, not something you need to set up yourself.
  • Consultancy does not currently support uploading documents ahead of a consultation — this is on the roadmap.
