Signing In¶
Where to find it¶
The sign-in page is the first screen you see when you open SureSign and are not already signed in.
What you need¶
- Your email address.
- Your password (or the temporary password an administrator gave you).
How to sign in¶
- Open SureSign in your browser.
- Enter your email address and password.
- Select Sign in.
If your credentials are correct, you are taken to your dashboard (or, for Super Admin and Admin accounts, the admin dashboard).
If your details are wrong¶
If your email or password is not recognised, SureSign shows "Invalid credentials." and does not tell you which of the two is wrong. Double-check both and try again. See Troubleshooting: Unable to sign in if you are still stuck.
If your account cannot sign in¶
You may see one of the following messages instead of reaching your dashboard:
| Message | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| "Your account has been deactivated." | A Super Admin has switched off your account. | Contact your organisation's Super Admin. |
| "Your account has been banned." | A Super Admin has banned your account (a reason is recorded internally). | Contact your organisation's Super Admin. |
| "You must change your password before continuing." | An administrator has required you to set a new password. | See Changing a temporary password. |
Forgotten password¶
Use the Forgot password link on the sign-in page to request a reset email. Follow the link in the email to set a new password.
Note
If you do not receive the reset email, check Troubleshooting: Sign-in problems before requesting another one.
Verifying your email¶
New accounts receive a verification email. Following the link confirms your email address. You do not need to verify your email to be invited or to have an account created for you, but some administrator actions (such as verifying your account) are visible to your Super Admin as part of account management.
Signing out¶
Use Sign out from the user menu (available from the profile icon in the sidebar footer) to end your session. If an administrator revokes your sessions or deactivates or bans your account, you are signed out automatically the next time SureSign checks your account, and you will need to sign in again once the issue is resolved.
