Reports

What this is

A cross-project view for reviewing performance over a reporting period, comparing periods, and exporting figures to present to directors, clients, funders, or auditors. This is distinct from Global Commercial, which shows live, right-now operational status. Reports answers "what happened during this reporting period, and how can I present or export it"; Global Commercial answers "what needs my attention right now." The two are never merged.

What you'll see

  • Summary tiles: Total Contract Value, Certified to Date, Outstanding Balance, and Open RFIs, all totalled across every project you have access to (live, all-time figures, unaffected by the reporting period below).
  • Commercial Summary: select View to open the full Commercial Summary Report:
    • A reporting period selector: Today, Last 7 Days, This Month, Last Month, Quarter, Year, or a Custom Range.
    • Report metadata: organisation, reporting period, generated date and time, effective timezone, who generated it, currency context, and report type.
    • An Executive Summary: a short automatically generated paragraph built from the real calculated figures below (never fabricated).
    • Financial Position: Certified to Date, Paid to Date, and Outstanding for the selected period.
    • Retention Position: Retention Held.
    • Commercial Pipeline: counts and values of applications awaiting submission, awaiting certification, and certified but unpaid.
    • Variation Position: Approved Variation Value and Pending Variation Value.
    • Per Project Summary: one row per project (read-only, with no editing actions here; open the project's own Commercial area for that).
    • Export to PDF or Export to Excel: downloads the same report with the same metadata, section structure, and currency grouping shown on screen.

If your organisation has projects in more than one currency, the report shows one complete set of sections per currency rather than a single combined figure. Amounts in different currencies are never added together.

Other report types (Project Status, RFI Summary, Document Register, Financial Forecast) are listed but marked Coming soon. They are not available yet.

  • Dashboard: the daily triage starting point, rather than a period-based report.
  • Commercial: where commercial records are actually created and progressed.
  • Global Commercial: the live, operational counterpart to this page's Commercial Summary Report.
